Personalized Beach Towels

Some childhood gifts are so good you will still use them as an adult.

In grade school, I received a pink beach towel with my name embroidered on it from my aunt and uncle.

Each time I went to the public swimming pool, I enjoyed laying out my personalized beach towel happy with the thought that no one would ever mistake my towel for theirs.

A Useful Gift That Lasts

Almost 20 years later, I still use that same beach towel. Let me point out that I don’t even own another beach or swim item from my childhood. Just this one custom beach towel.

I will admit it’s no longer pink though due to a washing machine accident. It’s more of a cream color these days but my embroidered name looks as great as ever and the towel itself is in great shape!

My aunt and uncle ordered my towel from Land’s End. So when it came time to get my son a beach towel, I decided to order him one with his name on it from Land’s End as well so that it too would last for years and years, possibly even decades like mine.

When something has our name on it, we’re automatically more proud of it and take better care of it, don’t you agree?

I daydream that my son will pack his personalized beach towel when he heads off to spring break during college and that he’ll still own it when he takes his own kids to the swimming pool.

Adults would also enjoy personalized beach towels as birthday, Christmas and His and Hers wedding gifts.
